When my old Milwaukee drill finally wore out a few years ago, I needed something in a pinch to finish a job. I was on a budget but didn’t want to get a cheap drill that I knew I would regret later. So I bought the M12 to get the job done. It seemed small to me at the time and I was concerned about it being able to deliver the torque I needed to get in the long screws I had to set. Boy, was I surprised.
The M12 compact drill is a work horse and is quite capable of driving large screws into wood and drilling holes to boot. It is the perfect companion for smaller jobs and is great for tight spaces. It is also very durable and well designed.

The Milwaukee m12 12 volt Compact drill has a great feature set that makes them well worth the
money. The first thing I noticed when I bought the drill was the flashlight above the trigger. That great little feature has saved me numerous times when I am drilling or screwing something in a dark spot.The unit also has a battery light indicator so you know when it is time to recharge. Add a all metal keyless 3/8″ chuck and 20 adjustable torque settings and this unit is a compact dynamo. The unit also uses an all metal gear box for great reliability. Milwaukee M12 Lithium-Ion Battery
The M12 Battery is compact and does a great job of powering this small drill. The battery is lithium and last a long time. It is very light compared to old NiCd batteries and much smaller. It also charges quickly, usually under 30 minutes. Lastly, the drill has a charge indicator so you know how much juice is left in the battery, no more guess work.

Any Complaints about the Milwaukee M12 Drill ?
This set has a very high satisfaction rating. I had to have this drill serviced after 18mos of continuous use. I didn’t want to drive across town to get it serviced so I went to Milwaukee’s web site and discovered I could mail it in to them for free. Within 7 business days the drill was back on my porch with a new clutch at no cost to me and works great now. I will be doing this from now on when something stops working.
