owned a few of these, many have “magically” walked off my job sites when I wasn’t looking, I guess they are that popular.
Sawzalls are truly great saws. Hands down the best feature of this saw is the quick release mechanism for the blades. I have owned a Rigid as well as a Dewalt and both have a lifting lever that is made from plastic. It is only a matter of time until that plastic piece breaks off. Sawzall uses a metal rotating knob that is built to last. Couple that with a 12 amp motor and a long 3/4″ cutting length and you see why this saw is such a workhorse. I have used it to demo out walls, cut 4″ old iron plumbing pipe, tear through PVC, and trim trees. There is very little this versatile saw can’t do.
